Why I Love Lily Lark Parasols!

As you all may have noticed, we have brought on a new brand partner, Lily Lark Sun Protective Parasols. I wanted to take a moment to share my experiences with these gorgeous parasols and why I love supporting this brand.

I am frequently told by women that they don't want to wear a hat because it will "mess up their hair." I totally understand this issue, and I have been searching for options that still provide shade and sun protection, but without the dreaded "hat hair."

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Lily Lark, Lisa Selwitz. As a fellow sun safe enthusiast living in New York City, Lisa found herself looking for prettier and more fun options for sun parasols. Not being able to find what she was looking for, she created Lily Lark. Lisa designs the artwork and has each Lily Lark parasol handmade with the highest quality and care.

I can attest to the quality and beauty of these parasols. I was really impressed, and feel honored to carry mine with me, as it truly feels like a piece of art.

The UPF 50+ sun protective coating allows me to feel safe and comfortable while outside, as well as oh so stylish.

Bonus: these parasols are also water resistant! They are not meant for use in the rain, but they will withstand the quick little rain showers that can pop up during the day.

I chose the Ink Wash Flowers, as my personal style always tends to lean toward the Black, White and Grey color spectrum (as you can tell from my outfit above). But, I can tell you that all of the designs are really very pretty.

Not only that, they are the first parasols that I have seen that come with a matching and very useful carrying case! So easy to just sling over your shoulder and go.

Here are some close ups of the inner workings of the parasols, as it's astounding to me that these are handmade. They are really stunning and it's clear that there is a tremendous amount of care, love and skill that goes into each one of these parasols!

Happy Skin. Happy Hair. Happy Summer.
